The health care reform bill requires employers with more than 200 employees to automatically enroll all employees in the health plan.
Employees will then have a post-enrollment opportunity to opt out of coverage. Since this mandate is to be conducted under rules developed by the Department of Labor; and since those rules have not been promulgated, DOL announced that automatic enrollment will not be required until it publishes specific guidance.
